On the 25 December 2010 at the Molenieux stadium Wolverhampton played against Wigan Athletic in front of a crowd of 26,901.The goals were scored by Hugo Rodallega on the 9 minute 0-1,Cleverley on the 20 minute 0-2 and finally Fletcher on the 87 minute 1-2.This 6 points victory against a relegation rival allows Latics to leave the relegation places.

This season Latics have struggled and we were on a dogs´ fight to avoid the drop to the Championship.It went to the last fixture of the league.At the beginning of the afternoon,we were in the drop zone.We played against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.Stoke¨s couch selected his best squad to play against us so they were not going to gift us any points to survive.The other clubs which were involved in the fight to avoid the drop that day were Blackpool,Wolverhamp-
ton,Blackburn Rovers,Birmingham City.We did not depended on us to survive and had to have some results on other games going our way.During some periods of the afternoon results else where condemned us to be relegated.On these games the drop was contested 1.Stoke City-Wigan Athletics 2.Manchester United-Blackpool 3.Totenham-Birmingham City 4.Wolverhampton-Blackburn Rovers.Manchester United and Stoke City did not compete for anything as they acheived their goals but were professionals palying with their best squads.The results at the end of the afternoon were Stoke City 0 Wigan Athletic 1,Wolverhampton 2 Blackburn 3,Totenham 2 Birmingham City 1,Manchester United 4 Blackpool 2.Wigan reached 42 points and survival.We will play a 7th season in the EPL!.Well done lads!!!.

On the first fixture at the DW stadium Wigan played against newly promoted Blackpool and everybody was stunned when Wigan lost 0-4 with goals from Taylor-Fletcher min 16 0-1,Harewood 0-2 and 0-3,Baptiste min 75 0-4.This is one of Harewood´s goals

On the 2 fixture again at the DW stadium Wigan played against Chelsea losing 0-6 with goals from Malouda min 34 0-1,Anelka min 48 0-2 and 52 0-3,Kalou min 78 0-4 and 90 0-5,Benayoun min 93 0-6.This is one of Kalou´s goals.Latics defended very poorly.
